Insert Brushes

in ZBrush, there are brushes imbedded into the software that allow you to insert assets, for example bolts, screws, hands and buttons etc. There is a huge selection of premade brushes for you to use, and you can also create your own brushes too to allow you to easily import assets that you may use constantly while modelling.

Above, is an example of me experimenting and messing around with the different Brushes already within ZBrush. These brushes can be accessed by pressing on the brushes tab and pressing I to highlight all the IMM Brush packs. These packs all contain a variety of different brushes that are free to use and can be very helpful when modelling.

ZSpheres

ZSpheres are tool within ZBrush that allow you an easier way of blocking out simple base shapes for models. A good example of how these can be used is when creating models of different creatures or animals, but they can be used when modelling humans or other things too.

We were given freedom to experiment with ZSpheres, so i decided to firstly try and model an animal using them. I created a very basic model of a Cat, using the ZSphere tool to constantly build up and begin to shape the model. When using Z Brushes, it is important you use the Move, Scale, and Rotate tools constantly. These allow you to play around with different sizes and placement of each of the extensions of the model you make with the tool.

To smooth your model after creating something with the ZSpheres, you can press A. this will give you a more smoothed view of the model to allow you to understand it better. To turn this off and go back in ZSphere editing, you can press A again.
For a first attempt, I don't think it was bad, but i defiently needed to practice. I actually really enjoyed using this tool though and found it quite easy to figure out.

For my second model attempt, I tried to make a simple human form using this tool.  It was very simple and just a quick test, but I really enjoyed making it and I think I would like to continue to practice more with this tool.
