Planning, Concept Sketches & Powerpoint Work
This week in class, our group continued to work on our concept sketches and thumbnails for different assets, as well as organising things for our PowerPoint presentation we would be doing in class on the 31st.
Concept Art Work
I created a normal sketch up on the Lion Statues from different angles as well as a more cracked and rotted version to show decay after being underwater for a long time. I took reference from Old statues and even statues left underwater to try and understand what they could possibly look like. I think i would like to create some coloured concepts of these before next week.
I also created some sketches of different features of the Council building in Market Square. I thought that redrawing the entire building and placing it inside a cave would be very unrealistic, but selecting certain smaller features of the building could work well. For example, pillars, clocks or spires. I used reference images and did some concept studies of what these features looked like.
I also created some sketch concepts of one of the bridges in Arboretum. While not a landmark, I thought this would pose a s a good reverence to base some underwater ruins off of. I drew up a normal version resembling the bridge currently and also a more withered away older version of it too. I think i would like to continue to experiment with this and possibly do some colour variants.
