Torso Anatomy Studies

This week, I practiced drawing torso anatomy, looking at a variety of different poses and angles as well as studying the muscles in the torso. Torsos are something that I find quite hard to draw at times, epically people with more muscular builds as their are a lot of different muscles that are present within the torso, arms and chest areas.

I wanted to firstly practice with some muscular built sketches, as it is something I find quite complex and confusing. I felt that this would be good practice and allow me to get a better grasp on how the muscles sit and move alongside each other and move depending on different angles and poses.

I also did some further practice of different types of bodies and how torso anatomy compares between them. I practiced with drawing a much skinnier and less muscley built person too, As i felt that all the references I had used so far where all quite buff and muscular and I wanted to get a better understanding on how these muscles and anatomy would be present on a person with a different type of build.

I think I will continue to do a few more sketches and practices of different torsos and their anatomy, as this is something I still feel like I can improve upon.
