Week 10: Curve Brushes
- Curve Brushes
- Character Concepts for Project
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════
This week, we learn about Curve Brushes in ZBrush - what they are and how they can be used. as well as this, I began progress on my character for my 3D Model.
Character Concepts & Designs
To start, I created a few concept sketches based on ideas I had previously generated the weeks prior and brainstormed. I wanted my character design to be very flowery and floral based, as I thought that would be a unique and fun twist on the prompt i chose. I created these 5 simple concept designs and asked a selection of people for feedback upon my designs. following the next week.
Curve Brushes
In ZBrush, there are a variety of different curve brushes. Each of these brushes act differently, but they all work to achieve a similar output. Most of them are used to create curves, these can be things such as hair, accessories, horns or many more things.
One of the more common curve brushes is the Curve Tube brush, which can be used to create things such as hair. The brushes can be used by drawing upon an existing sculpt in the pattern/shape you would like the sculpt. This will create a line, and a tube/model that follows that line.
