Project Overview and Conclusion
This blog will contain an entire overview on this project as a whole, as well as my thoughts, feelings, and things I think went well or could be improved.
My Final Illustrations and Designs and my Thoughts
Overall, I enjoyed this project a lot. I thought that originally I wouldn't like it, but I had a lot of fun, especially during the character designing portion. The second half of the project based around environment and furniture design I didn't enjoy as much, but I still felt happy and proud of the work I produced at the end.
I really enjoyed creating and designing my characters, and I am really pleased with how they turned out. I didn't really know what to create for them when I was originally given the brief, but deciding to bring in things I was interested in and enjoyed drawing into the project really helped me to find motivation and make sure I put in high amounts of effort. I'm glad I went with my sea creature/jellyfish theme, as I felt I knew a lot about these creatures already and liked them a lot which gave me a lot of ideas to work with off the bat. I also am interested in prosthetics and robotics, especially in sci-fi character designs, so by typing that also into my work I again had a lot of ideas and motivation for my characters designs.
For my illustrations, I was especially happy! I really liked how they turned out, even if they weren't the original idea I had in mind. I think I created an eerie feeling within my illustrations, and I also think it tells the story of these characters and the environment they are within well too. There are defiently things I would change or improve upon if I were to redo this project (Which I will discuss in a different section), but I am still pleased with the result.

I am also happy with how my environment and furniture assets turned out. I think that they fit well within the theme I was going for, and work well alongside my character designs and illustrations. Environments aren't really my strong suit so I did find drawing it and the furniture quite challenging, but I'm happy with the result.
What went Well
I actually think quite a few things for this project went quite well for me. I personally struggle with my time management (a lot) and find being motivated to do work a challenge as I get distracted very easily too and then panic over having lots to do. However, for this specific project, I really tried my best to stay on top of my work and my time management. I think that i effectively planned out when to complete my work, and spaced it out enough to the point I didn't get overworked or burn myself out. I think that I was able to create a good quantity of work to a high quality too. There are defiently things I think I can still work on and improve, but overall I am really pleased with how I managed this project and my work outcomes too. I think that the work I produced was all of a high standard, and that it worked well together to not only fit the brief but to also fit my idea and story I wanted to create throughout my characters and environments.
What I could Improve
In terms of things I think I could improve upon, I think I could've improved my final illustrations. For my character illustrations, I really wanted them too mirror one another, showcasing the same scene from different perspectives and to be really detailed. While I liked my end result, they weren't the exact idea I had in mind. I think this is practically due to me having unrealistic ideas, but I also think it's due to my work speed. I think that my project management went well for this project, but I should've allocated myself more time if I wanted to complete more complex pieces for my illustrations. I also think I could've made my environment illustration more detailed, if i allocated myself a bit more time to work on it.
Nonetheless, I still enjoyed this project a lot and really liked my results! I think my ideas worked well for the brief and made sense for the games IP. I hope that my work has been interesting to look through, and my effort and time can be seen across each of my pieces of work and blogposts.
